Illness

The school prohibits attendance of a child with a communicable illness. If your child becomes ill during the day, we will call you and then your emergency contacts. Children with fevers of 100 degrees or more, contagious skin or eye infections, vomiting, or repeated diarrhea must be removed from the school.

Children sent home with a fever must be free of fever for at least 24 hours before returning to school, without the use of fever-reducing medication. They must also be free of diarrhea, vomiting, contagious skin or eye infections fro at least 24 hours.

Exclusion from school is based on the South Carolina Public Health Department's Rules and Regulations.
