What is Catechesis?

Catechesis of the Good Shepherd is a unique program that nurtures a child’s relationship with spirituality and religion through hands-on materials and quiet reflection—encouraging faith to grow naturally and joyfully.

We recognize that the child’s first church is in the home, and that we are facilitators in the child’s personal journey in faith.

The Atrium: A Sacred, Peaceful Space

In our ecumenical space, children encounter the idea of God and stories of Jesus using beautiful, handmade materials designed just for them. This allows the children’s work to transform into prayer.

Faith to last a lifetime

Children are given the freedom to explore their relationship with God in a way that’s meaningful to them. This gives children confidence in who they are, what they believe, and fosters lifelong habits of contemplation and reflection.
